Descripción del puesto

Requirements

  • 4+ years of mobile development, with at least 2 years of React Native in production
  • At least one React Native app you built and shipped to both stores that's still live, and that you can walk us through
  • Strong TypeScript and experience with Expo (EAS Build, EAS Update)
  • Experience consuming REST APIs in a real product
  • Fluent English, written and spoken (C1 or above). You'll be in daily Slack conversations and regular Zoom meetings
  • Able to work US Eastern business hours for the majority of the workday
  • Independent contractor, not an agency

What you'll do

  • Build our iOS and Android apps in React Native, Expo, and TypeScript
  • Ship to the App Store and Google Play, and own releases, OTA updates, and store compliance
  • Implement authentication, deep links, push notifications, and offline and loading states
  • Turn designs into polished, platform-appropriate screens, and help shape secondary screens within our design system
  • Identify gaps in our APIs and work with the core team to close them
  • Maintain the app long-term: performance, crash monitoring, OS upgrades, and dependency updates

Strong pluses

  • Good design taste. You notice spacing, typography, and interaction details, and you know Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design
  • Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) experience
  • Experience with Clerk authentication
  • Experience with B2B SaaS apps and working from a design system

Engagement and how to apply

  • Long-term contractor relationship, paid in USD
  • Phase 1: full-time (40 hours/week) for roughly 2 to 3 months to build and launch the app
  • Phase 2: ongoing, about 10 to 20 hours/week to maintain and extend the app, with room to scale back up as our mobile roadmap grows
  • Rate: up to USD $55/hour (about USD $9,500/month during the full-time phase)

To apply: include a link to a live React Native app you built (App Store or Google Play), what you personally owned on it, and one design or UX decision you made in that app and why.
